Those of who have read this blog for a long time may remember me writing now and then about my friends Laura and Gabe, and their special little girl, Harmony.
Harmony was born with brain damage from lack of oxygen in utero and has gone through a lot. And even though she can’t eat with her mouth, sit up or walk, she sure keeps her parents running — they are so incredibly dedicated to giving her the best care possible.
Somehow, Laura has found the time to help start the Feeding Tube Awareness Foundation, which is becoming a nonprofit organization. (Her title is chief operations momma! How awesome is that?) She wants to help other parents whose children may need feeding tubes wade through confusing medical information and help raise awareness for friends, family and others at the same time.
This week is the group’s second-ever Feeding Tube Awareness week, and I want to help show my support.
You can find more information at www.feedingtubeawareness.com, and/or at Laura’s blog at harmonyann.blogspot.com.
Also, don’t forget you still have time to leave a comment here for a chance to win Moody Mom’s Freebie Friday giveaway. It’s a $20 Starbucks gift card — who wouldn’t love that?
